Adventurous villa (part of a triplex) within El Verde Country Club with the rainforest & private river right in the backyard! Blue Bungalow is a gated Puerto Rican Style Villa located on a hilltop near the end of a cul-de-sac. Overlooking El Yunque National Rainforest, just 20 mins to San Juan airport & Old San Juan, 5 miles from rainforest & breathtaking local beaches, the property has a private hiking path that meets Espiritu Santo River, & a myriad of tropical plants & fruit trees to enjoy.
Located essentially in the El Yunque Rainforest you really get to be immersed into the local experience of rainforest living in this quiet neighborhood. This unit is towards the back of the property with a large front porch and an incredible view of the forest. While there are technically two bedrooms in this unit, they are only separated by a doorway with a thin partition. There is a separate sleeping area in the living room that has a queen pullout couch.

You'll have access to all parts of the property aside from the two other units. That means no access to the upstairs unit and the other is on the main floor by the carport.
This has a quiet and peaceful vibe being that it is mostly an older community. You'll see neighbors on walks every morning and hear sounds of the rainforest and maybe some dogs barking. If you decide to go on a neighborhood walk we advise you to bring a walking stick just in case of stray dogs. Being that this neighborhood is in the rainforest, there are insects and mosquitos. This is not uncommon for the entire Caribbean Isles. We ask that guests strive to not play loud music at night to help keep the peace.
Renting a car is the best option for getting around in this area since it is a little bit out of town. Uber does work here but the availability can be lower and public transit is not as readily accessible.
IMPORTANT! Bring bug spray, you’re coming to the rainforest and you’ll need protection!
While staying true to Puerto Rican norms, we strongly encourage that no shoes be worn inside to maintain cleanliness.
Do not go on the trail to the river unless you are confident in hiking very steep and muddy trails. It is not suitable for young children and elderly. Please take a walking stick.
We do charge a late checkout fee. The cleaning staff will arrive just after 11AM to clean and make accommodations ready for the next guest.
This is a quiet neighborhood. Please keep noise levels at a reasonable level while enjoying your stay here at the beautiful rainforest oasis.
We only allow 1 vehicle within the gates of the property, but you may park extra vehicles on the street.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess, stained towels/linens will be charged.
Subletting not allowed
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All BNB rules:
1. No shoes inside: Please remove your shoes at the door and leave them on the shoe rack provided. This is to keep our home clean and comfortable for all guests.
2. No extra guests: The number of guests listed in your reservation is the maximum number allowed in the home. No additional guests are permitted without prior approval from the host.
3. No parties: Absolutely no parties or loud gatherings are allowed in the home at any time. We ask that you respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.
4. No food or drinks in the bedrooms: To prevent stains and spills, please refrain from bringing food or drinks into the bedrooms.
5. No pets: Sorry, pets are not allowed in the home. We want to ensure that our home remains allergen-free for all guests.
6. Responsibility for damage: If something is broken or damaged during your stay, please notify us immediately and send pictures of the item. Airbnb may require you to pay for any damages caused by your group.
7. Quiet hours: Please respect our neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum after 11pm.
8. Off-limits areas: DO NOT CLIMB ONTO THE ROOF. This is strictly off limits and dangerous. If we are informed that this is occurring we will immediately notify airbnb.
9. No smoking or vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the property. If you wish to smoke or vape, please do so outside and dispose of your cigarette butts or vaping materials in the designated outdoor ashtray.
10. Garbage and recycling: Garbage and recycling days are on Wednesday. The trash cans are at the head of the road on the street.
11. No visitors without approval: Visitors are not allowed on the property unless they have been approved by the Airbnb hosts in advance. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Consequences for breaking the rules:
We take our house rules very seriously, and failure to comply with them may result in penalties or additional charges. If any damage is caused to the property or if any of the rules listed above are violated, guests may be charged additional fees or asked to leave the property.
