This is a gated Puerto Rican Style Villa located on a hilltop near the end of a cul-de-sac. Overlooking El Yunque National Rainforest, just 20 mins to San Juan airport & Old San Juan, 5 miles from rainforest & breathtaking local beaches, the property has a private hiking path that meets Espiritu Santo River, & plants & fruit trees to enjoy.
The apartment has 1 large bedroom and 1 full bathroom. There is a sofa sleeper couch in the living room as well as a foldaway twin bed that is stored in the corner for use. The kitchen has everything you need for light cooking. The property has a back up generator and a water reserve tank called a cistern.
There is a giant river in the backyard that all of our guests love to explore!
Lastly, once you book with us,
Guest will be able to access the wrap around patio, the entire apartment, the shared parking car port, the back yard, the river trail, and the river.
This has a quiet and peaceful vibe being that it is mostly an older community. You'll see neighbors on walks every morning and hear sounds of the rainforest and maybe some dogs barking. If you decide to go on a neighborhood walk we advise you to bring a walking stick just in case of stray dogs. Being that this neighborhood is in the rainforest, there are insects and mosquitos. This is not uncommon for the entire Caribbean Isles. We ask that guests strive to not play loud music at night to help keep the peace.
Renting a car is the best option for getting around in this area since it is a little bit out of town. Uber does work here but the availability can be lower and public transit is not as readily accessible.
While staying true to Puerto Rican norms, we strongly encourage that no shoes be worn inside to maintain cleanliness.
Do not go on the trail to the river unless you are confident in hiking very steep and muddy trails. It is not suitable for young children and elderly. Please take a walking stick.
We do charge a late checkout fee. The cleaning staff will arrive just after 11AM to clean and make accommodations ready for the next guest.
This is a quiet neighborhood. Please keep noise levels at a reasonable level while enjoying your stay here at the beautiful rainforest oasis.
We only allow 1 vehicle within the gates of the property, but you may park extra vehicles on the street.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess, stained towels/linens will be charged.
Subletting not allowed
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
