The owner's of this home call the place “Haehnels Hill beach house “after their great grandfather who pioneered Apollo Bay in the 1870-90’s. He was the one responsible for all the photos taken during that time according to the Apollo Bay Historical Society. His allotment sits to the left of tigers lane up the hill.
With pitched ceilings and timber floorboards opening out to a large balcony with a breathtaking northern ocean aspect perfect for eating outdoors on the deck in the sun.
The property features an open plan fully equipped kitchen and dining area which makes this ideal for families, friends, couples or wanderers, looking to stop a while to soak in the ravishing beauty and serenity that the area has to offer.
Well zoned for family or guests with the current configuration offering four bedrooms and three bathrooms sleeping a maximum of 12 guests. There is a kitchenette and 2nd living area on the ground level.
Features include: Wifi, BBQ, heating to bedrooms, instantaneous hot water, laundry with washing machine/dryer, indoor wood fireplace (guests BYO wood if you wish to use as there are split system heaters also which heat the space really nicely), airconditioning, smart TV, BBQ and outdoor dining.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire home.
LINEN SUPPLIED We supply: sheets, pillow cases and towels for each guest. However it is important to note that beds will not be made upon your arrival and you will need to make the beds yourselves prior to sleeping. By supplying linen we are able to keep the tariff and additional charges low by keeping rates you pay to a minimum - however if you wish to have beds made up on your arrival there will be an additional fee for our cleaners to do this. Please confirm if you would like beds made up before you arrive. We also supply bath mats, hand towels and tea towels
PETS: Pets are welcome here, however we ask that you bring your own pet bowls and bedding as this is not supplied. If you have a pet that sheds hair, please ensure you clean up any dog hair before you depart as well as any droppings in the yards. The backyard is fully fenced with a side gate. The front is not fenced at all. Please be aware of Kevin the Koala living in the tree on the property. He is scared of dogs barking at him.
BOND/REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT FEE: Please note the bond is held as a pre-authorisation on your credit card, this is taken within 24 hours of your arrival and held until 3 days post stay. We require that the bond is simply an amount we "hold" on your card. If there are issues or damages, we will contact you post stay to discuss with a view to resolving before the hold is released.
The booking price displayed for online bookings includes a processing fee of 3% per booking.
If a refund or cancellation takes place, please note the refunded amount will not include the 3% processing fee as this will be retained by Otway Retreats to cover the original transaction.
If your check in date is within 60 days a 100% payment is required.
If your check in date is over 60 days then a payment of 50% is required to secure your booking and the remaining 50% will be charged to your card on file 30 days before your check in day.

Check-in time is 3:00pm on the day of arrival and check out is 10:00am unless specified and agreed otherwise.
Early Check-ins and Late checkouts are subject to availability and incur additional fees of $50.00 per hour.
Please respect the privacy of our local community and neighbours. If a guest's behaviour or noise level is unreasonable, a warning will be given and ignoring this will result in the cancellation of the booking without refund. Strictly no parties or events allowed.
