Bright 700-sq-ft, 1-bedroom penthouse condo with vaulted ceilings and fully screened doors/windows. Folding doors open to the balcony for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Nice breezes.
This is a third-floor condo with stair access (no elevators). The condo is the closest building to the beach in the complex and the furthest from the road. You will hear the waves as you drift off to sleep.
The bedroom, bathroom, and living room/kitchen all have vaulted ceilings. The glass doors and screen doors to the balcony fold open completely.
An air conditioner is in the bedroom and the living room/kitchen. However, the refreshing ocean breeze generally keeps the condo cool when the front and back windows are open.
Orilla del Mar is a small complex but offers extensive outdoor space. A large open-air palapa with sofas, tables, and chairs overlooks the beach. In this space are two BBQs for guests to use, a dartboard, and once a month during the winter months, the complex hosts live entertainment for guests from 6 until 8 pm.
Near the entrance of the complex is another large open-air space furnished in a similar style. This area has an excellent library with board games.
A large pool deck with chairs and loungers offers plenty of space, as does the beach, with multiple thatched sunshades.
The beach in front of the complex has soft sand and is great for walking in both directions. In the morning, a few surfers can often be seen bobbing in the waves.
Less than a 10-minute walk down the beach is a popular restaurant and bar (Martini’s). You can walk 30 minutes into town along the beach at low tide.
Although some guests walk along the road into town (2.5 km), you can hop on a minibus (gua gua), which runs approximately every 10-15 minutes and stops in front of the complex. Alternatively, you can take a taxi into town.
