Positive: The apartment itself was beautiful and very convenient to the local supermarket and restaurants. The view was nice too.

Negative: We had a very disappointing check-in experience. This was a work trip, and none of us were familiar with the area. We arrived around 8pm and followed the step-by-step check-in instructions provided, which were clear and easy to understand. However, the keys left in the lockbox were incorrect, and this is where the issues began. After some time, we managed to find a contact number for assistance, but it appeared to be for a third-party after-hours service rather than the actual property owners. The woman we spoke to was based in Sydney and was extremely rude and unhelpful. Although we calmly and politely explained the situation, she made no effort to assist us. Instead, she told us to find alternative accommodation for the night at our own cost — even though the mistake was entirely due to the wrong keys being provided. Realizing we weren’t going to receive any help, we ended the call and began figuring out where we would stay. Fortunately, one of my colleagues tried the garage remote that was also in the lockbox, and we were able to gain access that way. Once inside, we discovered the correct keys were actually in the apartment — the same keys that should have been in the lockbox to begin with, as they were needed to open the top gate for entry. The entire situation was stressful, unfortunate, and completely avoidable. To make matters worse, upon checkout we were instructed to leave the same keys inside again, guaranteeing that the next guests would face the same problem. This experience has left us not wanting to return. At the very least, a direct contact number for the property owners or an on-site/local representative should be provided for after-hours issues. And if guests are unable to access the property due to the host’s mistake, alternative accommodation should be covered. This level of service was unacceptable, especially for a simple error that could have been easily resolved with proper support.

Summary: Overall, the stay was good however the check-in process went wrong and ruined the stay for the trip.
