Summary: After having such a brilliant stay at the same hotel previously, booking through Hotels.com, my wife and I wanted to celebrate our Valentine’s Day together away from the children at a hotel with a spa and in locality to our home. Not only were the prices so inflated, but we were not informed that the swimming pool and jacuzzi were out of order, I wasn’t also aware that my room would be a downgrade to the last time I stayed there, and at a higher price to the previous upgraded room. This room was such a disappointment, the hotel doesn’t offer the coffee we previously had in the room, and also doesn’t give a basic necessity of drinking water in the room. The walkin shower also leaked water into the bathroom through a hole at the bottom corner of the glass curtain making the rest of the bathroom slippery and dangerous. The breakfast in the morning was fine except the hash browns looked like they were 3days old and were rock hard. And lastly I asked the manager in the morning if we could check out around 15minutes later than normal checkout time due to my wife having a health issue, she was so rude and abrupt and said no we have to pay £15 for late checkout. I explained we simply needed the extra time for my wife in the bathroom, I had already brought all the baggage down so what was the issue? Valentines ruined.
