Summary: Nestled in the neighborhood of Barrio Orbrero, this gem gives you a taste of local flavor and a sense of getting away from it all. The unit was very clean and surprisingly spacious for the square footage. When we arrived, the power was out in the neighborhood, but we didn't know b/c the unit is solar powered and had a back up battery. The only thing that wasn't functioning was the router, but as soon as the power came back on that was working as well and I was able to remote work. It's tucked away in a beachside neighborhood, across the street from a store and a bar, so on the weekends/evenings you can hear music and people socializing which was nice to soak in the sabor and culture. There are LOTS of chickens in the area which will serve as your alarm clocks each morning to get you up and on your way to an early beach stroll. The beach is just a block and a half away, you can hear the surf from the house and it's so relaxing at night. There is AC throughout. Basics are provided in the bathroom and kitchen, so if you require higher maintenance bring items like facecloths and personal products with you. The pool is clean and a great place to chill in the afternoons. The grill was clean and worked great. There is a wash/dryer unit on site but we didn't use it. The shower is low pressure, but that's common in PR. We loved our stay here, and while it isn't glamorous, it is safe, clean and amenable, so if you want to an authentic taste of Arecibo and it's residents, this is it!
